Three tourists belonging to Khyber Agency were killed when their car plunged into a deep ravine in Babusar top area of Kaghan Valley, police said on Tuesday. Diamar police said that the deceased had gone to Gilgit-Baltistan for a tour. While returning from Gilgit-Baltistan, driver of the car lost control and car plunged into a deep ravine, police said. All the three people onboard were killed in the accident.
Police said that due to night and rain, rescue workers were facing difficulties, however, the dead bodies were retrieved from the ravine and were shifted to the Chilas hospital. Police said that the dead bodies would soon be shifted to their ancestral areas in Khyber Agency. Meanwhile, hundreds of tourists have been stranded due to flooding in Chitral while the locals have launched rescue activities by themselves.
