Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan's counsel Naeem Bokhari on Thursday said that Jemima Khan had sent Rs 40.8 million remittances to one Rashid Ali Khan for purchasing Khan's Banigala land in Islamabad. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Hanif Abbasi had filed a plea in the Supreme Court seeking disqualification of the PTI Chairman Imran Khan and General Secretary Jahangir Tareen over their alleged violations of the Income Tax Ordinance 1979 and Peoples Act 1974.
Submitting chart of foreign remittances from Jemima Khan's accounts to Rashid Ali Khan US dollar account number 9010327943 and US dollar amount converted to Pak rupees through account number 5521588014 in Citi Bank Islamabad, the counsel requested the apex court to grant permission for placing the document on record in the matter. According to the chart, total amount remitted by Jemima Khan for purchase of Banigala land was Rs 40.8 million.
