The leader of the Mutahhida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P), Dr Farooq Sattar, on Tuesday demanded that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif step down from his office the Supreme Court's Joint Investigation Team's establishment of corruption charges against him. "The prime minister has lost moral grounds to hold office," he told journalists visiting his office.
He said that the Panama Papers case had brought a political crisis in the country and the only option available to the prime minister was resignation in order avoid further political chaos in the country. "Whoever has been involved in plundering national exchequer should be taken to task," he said.
