Country's jewellery export scaled back by 19.43 percent to $ 5.381 million in July-May 2017, official figures show. Decline in the jewelry export stands at $1.298 million in July-May 2017 from $6.679 million in July-May 2016, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics says. In May 2017, jewellery export slumped by 57.46 percent or $516,000 million to $382,000 from $898,000 in May 2016.
Export of Gems declined to $2.781 million by 24.47 percent or $0.901 million in July-May 2017 from $3.682 million in July-May 2016. Gems export remained lower by 40.29 percent or $193,000 million to $286,000 in May 2017 from $479,000 in May 2016.
