Another day, another power breakdown in Karachi
The K-Electric restored electricity in several areas of Karachi hours after the city was hit by yet another a major power breakdown on early Monday, while the remaining areas are gradually getting back electricity.
The KE wrote on its Twitter handle that power in some of the affected areas including Defence, Korangi, Garden, Shah Faisal and Gulshan, has been restored while restoration efforts are underway in other areas affected. The power utility continued saying that the power outage in the metropolitan was expected to improve within the next three to four hours.

According to the KE, the city was facing power outage due to the tripping of 500 kV transmission line connecting KE to the National Grid.

The city was plunged into darkness in the early hours of the morning. The areas affected include Gulistan-Jauhar, KDA, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Nazimabad, North Karachi and Garden. This black out proved to be difficult for the children and the people going to their respective work places. This is the fourth power outage in the port city since October.
