India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is said to have told the world in general and China in particular that it would never allow any third-party role in its bilateral relationship with Pakistan. Its response has come after China made an offer that it is ready to play a constructive role to improve the relations between Pakistan and India. That India is not in favour of sustainable peace in the region is a fact. India needs to show appreciation of the fact that China considers both Pakistan and India as important countries in South Asia.
According to Beijing, the conflict between the two countries along the Line of Control in Kashmir is neither conducive to their own stability and development nor regional peace and tranquillity. India must rescind its decision and revisit its response to China's offer.
