Aamir Khan's 'Thugs Of Hindostan' started off on a record-breaking note but has witnessed a tremendous fall in the occupancy in theatres in the following days, which has affected its box office collections at large.

The film, which is touted to be Yash Raj Film’s biggest project till date, opened to a record-breaking Rs 50 crore last Thursday but has witnessed a downward turn since, slipping to Rs 28 crore, Rs 22 crore and Rs 17 crore on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively, Indian media reported.

The business of YRF mega budget film reportedly faced a big fall of 25 per cent. As per the report of Box Office India, the film managed to collect 17 crore on Sunday, which is much lower than the estimated collection.

Indian Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also posted the figures on his Twitter account. He said, “Thugs of Hindostan faces rejection, the dwindling extended weekend business clearly indicates it has failed to live up to the mammoth expectations. It did set new benchmarks on day 1, but the negative word of mouth hit biz hard on subsequent days”.

The multi-starrer film doesn’t impress the movie-goers and mostly people called it dull and one of the 'worst' movies of Aamir’s career.
