Celebrities whose mansions burned to ashes by California wildfire
Up to 300,000 people were forced to flee their homes as one of the worst wildfires in Californian history rage through the US state. Among the victims are several Hollywood actors and celebrities who have lost their homes in wildfires.

Gerard Butler
Gerard Butler called it a ‘heartbreaking time across California’ after learning his home burned to ashes. In a video posted to his Instagram story, Butler said, “Welcome to my home in Malibu” as he walked around his scorched property.

Miley Cyrus
Singer Miley Cyrus shared an emotional message on Twitter revealing she had lost her home in the fire and urged people to donate to emergency services.
Completely devestated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for

Liam Hemsworth
Liam shared a picture of his house destroyed by California fire on Twitter. "It’s been a heartbreaking few days," Hemsworth shared. "This is what’s left of my house. Love".

Khloe Kardashian
Khloé Kardashian evacuated her home with her daughter and has been staying with brother Rob Kardashian. She also posted some scary images of the fire on Instagram.

Orlando Bloom
Orlando posted a picture of his street, which looks very close to the flames, with the caption, “This is my street as of two hours ago praying for the safety of all my malibu fam, grateful to our brave firefighters please stay safe”.
Liam Payne
One Direction singer Liam Payne revealed the mansion he bought in Calabasas near Malibu for $US12 million in 2015 was in the path of the fire. He said, “I’m about to lose my house and its memories. Even worse, tragically, people have died”.
Scott Derrickson
Director Scott Derrickson (Marvel’s Doctor Strange) also lost his home in fire. He took to Twitter to share the pictures of his house destroyed in California fire.

Many others including Caitlyn Jenner, Alyssa Milano, Lady Gaga, Rainn Wilson, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner and Jessica Simpson were among evacuees. Some knew their homes were safe (for now) and waited for a chance to return. Others are in the dark, posting pictures of plumes of smoke and saying their houses were somewhere in there.
