Chairman Hashoo Group Sadruddin Hashwani and Deputy Chairman Murtaza Hashwani hosted a reception in honour of the Pakistan cricket team, which won the 2017's ICC Champions Trophy. The event was held here at a local hotel on Wednesday. The event was attended by ambassadors, business community and celebrities.
Sadruddin Hashwani awarded cheques worth Rs 500,000 to Sarfaraz Ahmed, captain of national cricket team and Rs 300,000 each to the rest of 15 players. Speaking on the occasion, Sadruddin Hashwani lauded the performance of the team and congratulated them for uniting the entire nation by virtue of this great win.
He said that the young team demonstrated dedication, excellence and of course patriotism all the way. Executive Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi in his brief speech thanked the chairman and the deputy chairman Hashoo Group for recognising the efforts of the cricket team. Murtaza Hashwani also congratulated the players, coaches and the management of the PCB for this big achievement. The event was followed by a dinner and a lively performance by a renowned band.
