Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has named 60 players for participation in a training camp for the build-up of a strong team for participation in the Asia Cup being staged at Dhaka from October 12 to 22. A spokesman of the PHF said here Friday that the training camp will be held from July 24 at Islamabad's Naseer Bunda hockey stadium under the supervision of the new management, led by former Olympian Farhat Khan.
Moreover, trials for the selection of Punjab women hockey teams, to take part in the national Under-18 women hockey championship will be held here at the National hockey stadium on July 24. During the trials, we will be picking up best available talent to pick two teams of Punjab for participation in the national junior women's hockey championship being played from August 4-11 at the National Hockey Stadium.
