Cash basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat at the US Gulf declined on Thursday as supplies of new-crop grain increase, said merchants. Protein premiums for railcar wheat to and through Kansas City were generally unchanged on Wednesday. But wheat with 11.60 percent protein was up 2 cents per bushel, and dropped 14 cents for 12.80 percent protein wheat. At 12:23 pm CDT (1723 GMT) K.C. September wheat futures were up 3/4 cent at $5.01 a bushel.
