On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,887. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.840 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,695. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.576 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.313 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 608.239 million, platinum PKR 152.512 million, silver PKR 112.295 million, copper PKR 58.178 million, natural gas PKR 16.610 million and Brent crude oil PKR 2.971 million.
