Sindh Rangers spokesman Colonel Qaiser Khattak Wednesday revealed an audio clip of the MQM founder in which he appreciates two target killers over murders. The Rangers spokesman said banned terrorist organisations based in Afghanistan are actively working across the border, adding that the law enforcement agency knows from where the directions originate. Addressing a news conference in Karachi on Wednesday afternoon, Colonel Qaisar said the arrested killers were involved in over two dozen killings in the city. He said the killers were traced as receiving directions from London through MQM network based in South Africa.
He said the bounty received by target killers for killing two persons in Karachi. He vowed to catch those involved in murder of policemen in Karachi. While promising good news in near future, Colonel Qaiser recalled that two persons were murdered in Orangi Town on July 17 in which members of MQM London were involved. Both the suspects, shooter Mohmmad Raheem and a motorcyclist Mohammad Danish, were in contact with South Africa-based group. They received a message of admiration from MQM London founder after two days along with a bounty of Rs 50,000 via the private bank. The Rangers spokesperson also played voice message of the MQM London founder.
He said that MQM founder congratulated the shooters on carrying out the gun attack. He further said that both the suspects had confessed to the murder, stressing that no terrorist network is actively working in the region as of now. Rangers DG formed a joint investigation team to probe the criminal activity which will yield positive results, he assured. He said that the law and order situation in Karachi has improved and the time when the metropolis, "which used to get shut down on a phone call" has passed.
