The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has approved 21 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs 14880.813 million. PDWP meeting, under the Chairmanship of Muhammad Azam Khan, the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Thursday considered 26 projects pertaining to different sectors including MSD, Health, Energy & Power, Industry, Home, Law, Roads, Building, Urban Development, DWSS, Local Govt. & Finance sectors for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 21 Projects while 5 projects were deferred due to inadequate designs.
The meeting was attended by Shahab Ali Shah Secretary P&D Department, its members and respective administrative Secretaries. Approved projects of MSD sector were Establishment of Change Management Unit in P&D Department, Establishment of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Cell (CPEC Cell) in P&D Department, PC-I/Cost estimate for construction of Sewerage Water Tank and Drinking Water Storage Tank for village Yarik District DI Khan, Establishment of Centralized GIS Facilities & Special Development Package, District Torghar (Phase-II)."
In Health sector approved project was Burns & Trauma Center Peshawar. In the Industries sector approved project was Construction for Building of GTVC (Boys) Gadoon, District Swabi (Revision). In the Home sector approved projects were F/S and Construction of Model Police Station at each Tehsil & Town Headquarter of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (50-60 No.s), F/S and Construction of Regional Headquarters for Counter Terrorism.
In the Law & Justice sector approved project was F/S for Extension of Bar Rooms, Consultation Rooms, Library & Construction of an Auditorium with Allied Facilities for Peshawar High Court Bar and Advocate-General Office. In the Roads sector approved projects were Enhanced land Compensation in Court Case Titled Nazar Muhammad Khan & other PKHA & others (Decretal Amount), Construction of RCC Bridge at Khal Barkalay Bazaar, PK-93 District Dir Upper (2016-17), Provincial Equity (VGF) Phase-II, Construction of road from Jalozai to Kotli Kalan Distt: Nowshera, F/S, Design & Construction of over head / Flyover and bridges in UC Gujrat UC Galyara UC Bakhshali in District Mardan.
In the Building sector approved project was Emergent nature and Additional Construction of Office/Residential Buildings (2016-17) (4th Revised). In the Urban Development sector approved project was F/S, Design and Construction of Bus Terminals in Mardan, Swat, Dir Upper and District Swabi including land cost. In the DWSS Development sector approved projects were Drainage Sewerage and Solid Waste Management Plan Zone-II PK-64 D.I. Khan (2016-17) (Revised), Construction of Drinking Water Tube Wells at Butasar U/C Mairen, Fatah U/C Zandani, Gajjuu U/C Mairen, Garmani U/C Naiwela, Garah Ashiq U/C Naiwela, Ramak Shehar U/C Mairen, Meran Shehr U/C Mairen, Lunda sharif U/C Lunda Sharif in PK-66 District D.I. Khan (2016-17) (Revised), Extension of Gravity Water Supply Scheme from Lawaghar and Chan Ghuz Dams to various UCs of Karak (2016-17), Rehabilitation of Water Supply Schemes and Construction of Sanitation Schemes in PK-10 District Peshawar (2016-17).
In the Local Govt. Sector approved project was Enablement of Municipal Corporation Peshawar, Improvement and re-habilitation of water supply and sanitation schemes in Malakand & D.I. Khan (Mingora Swat), Improvement and rehabilitation of water supply and sanitation schemes in Malakand & D.I. Khan (Dir Upper), Improvement and re-habilitation of water supply and sanitation schemes in Malakand and D.I. Khan, DR-13 (Tehkal Payan Drainage).
