Multi-storey building: UET Peshawar to conduct first large scale test

The first large scale test on multi-storey reinforced concrete building will be conducted under the supervision of Dr Khan Shahzada, Associate Professor Civil Engineering Department, supervisor of PhD Engineering student Syed Azmat and co-supervised by Dr Syed Muhammad Ali, Director, Earthquake Engineering Center at UET Peshawar, a research facility, sponsored by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Dr Khan Shahzada said that the results of this PhD research will be incorporated in the Building Code of Pakistan and provide guidelines to the Government and professionals in the construction industry on strengthening of existing infrastructure based on the indigenous material.
