Law enforcers on Tuesday water-cannoned protesters of Young Doctors Association (YDA) after they took to Mall Road seeking compliance of the government with their demands. Police resorted to the use of water cannon after the protesters attempted to enter GOR One. Several medics have been detained for resisting police actions.
YDA members have announced to boycott all hospitals in the metropolis. The Jail Road has been shut for all kinds of traffic. DIG Operations Haider Ashraf said the authorities have been attempting to hold talks with the protesting body since Monday.
