Life restored to SU main campus as one witnessed a huge number of enthusiastic students keenly walking their way uphill from Allama I I Kazi intersection to get to their respective classes across various academic departments. The timely reporting of classes was partly due to opportune alerts sent out consistently by SU administration a week prior to the commencement of session; partly because of keen personal interest of VC SU Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat and residually by the interest and efforts of the Deans and Heads of the academic departments/ institutes.
Earlier, Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat had convent a series of meetings to ensure the start of classes on the very first day of the new academic semester; which had not unfortunately, until then been the norm at the campus. The Vice-Chancellor's care, concern and endeavors bore fruit as one saw a satisfactory number of students walking into their classrooms and engage in the academic work.
Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat made a point of personally visiting various department/ institutes to review arrangements relating to the proper functioning of classes. Dr Burfat, in his reflections registered on the occasion, observed that as a head of the institution, he knew, understood and fully accepted the pleasant obligation of ensuring opportune start of the session to save invaluable time of the students and equally invaluable resource of their parents.
