The police have foiled a bid of smuggling Irani diesel to Mochko area of the city on Saturday. Superintendent of Police (SP) Kemari, Arif Aziz told the media that Mochko police acting on information about the smuggling of huge quantity of diesel started checking vehicles coming from National Highway.
During the checking, 60,000 liters of Irani diesel was seized from a tanker registration No TLZ-664 which was concealed into the specially designed hidden cavities. The tanker driver Ghulam Rasool son of Ibrahim was arrested from the spot. The accused and tanker had been handed over to the Customs authorities for further action.
