Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has slammed former president Pervez Musharraf and also called him enemy of the people. In a series of tweets on Saturday, Saad said dictatorial policies of Musharraf shook the foundations of the country. "Musharraf was saved and sent out of the country but he cannot save himself from being termed as a national criminal and usurper," said the PML-N leader.
Saad maintained that dictators have joined the waste bin of history and no one will cry on their grave. "The performance of the elected representatives was more than their shortcomings, hence they have been remembered," he said. Saad argued that dictators bring forth artificial changes and fake developments and make deals on the nation's sovereignty in order to legitimize their rule. "Pakistani dictators show the people their fists but lick the boots of enemies," he added. It may be added that Pervez Musharraf had said in an interview that military rulers put the country on the right track while the civilian governments did otherwise.
