Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Youth Wing has finalized the arrangements to celebrate the 70th Independence Day with full national and patriotic zeal across the Khyber Pakhtunkwha. This was stated by the JI Youth Wing provincial president Abdul Ghaffar while addressing at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday. He said that rallies, Azadi conventions, and special ceremonies will be organized across the province, for which arrangements have been finalized.
He informed that a grand function as 'Azadi Night' will be held at Jinnah Park Peshawar on August 13 late evening, and expected that a large number of youth would be participated in the event across the province. He said Jamaat-e-Islami central ameer; Senator Sirajul Haq will be chief guest on the occasion.
Flanked by the wing vice president, Hafiz Hamidullah, General Secretary Haroon Khan, district president Saddiq Paracha, Fata president Shahjehan Afridi, and Secretary Information, Mohammad Naeem Khan, he said the youth wing has chalked out a comprehensive plan to celebrate the 70th Independence Day in befitting manner across the province.
Similarly, he said the JI youth will also take out a motorcycle rally in city, while flag march would also organized on Azadi Night. He said the demonstration of fireworks was also part of the Azadi night. To pay tribute to martyred of Pakistan, JI youth wing president said special event of national songs and anthem competitions will also be arranged at union council, tehsil and district level in the province.
JI youth wing president said the Independence Day functions will also be organized at divisional, union council and districts level as well. He said the JI will continue its efforts for corruption-free and prosperous Pakistan. He said about 65 per cent youth of the total population of the country, which had played important role in development and progress of their motherland.
Abdul Ghaffar claimed that JI is only political party, which had organized its youth wing through democratic and elections process in the province. He said as many as 0.6million youngsters were made member of JI youth wing by using modern techniques, while intra-youth elections was conducted on pattern of general elections across the province. He maintained more than 13,000 youth leader were elected during the electoral process in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Later, he said the political training sessions for elected youth leaders also conducted.
