Sunset Sports Gala 2017 by Defence Authority Sunset Club was held at the club premises for ten days with great fanfare. Club members and households participated in different sports events including swimming, snooker, squash, table tennis, badminton and tennis with great zeal and enthusiasm. The male and female players displayed tremendous talent and sportsman spirit during the matches/competition.
Defence Authority Sunset Club is an exciting venue for promotion of sports and games is all forms and manifestation. The sports facilities, various tournaments and annual sports gala at the club go a long way in promoting healthy and positive trends in society so essential for an enlightened, progressive and dynamic nation.
The club was literally a scene of activity and action during the entire gala. The interest of members of all ages in the sports gala was unprecedented. They totally got engaged in sports activities in true letter and spirit. At the conclusion of Sports Gala, an impressive prize distribution ceremony was held at the club. Javed Miandad, the legendary cricketer and former captain of Pakistan Cricket Team was the chief guest of the function. He distributed prizes amongst the winners, runner ups and the supervisory staff. A large number of club members and prominent citizens attended the ceremony.-PR
