International Youth Day celebrated across the globe

International Youth Day (IYD) 2017 Saturday was celebrated across the globe including Pakistan for recognizing role of the Youth as agents of change in preventing conflict and building peace in the world. This year's theme was "Youth Building Peace".
This day celebrated to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth worldwide. On 17th December 1999, in its resolution 54/120, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the recommendation made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth that August 12 to be declared as International Youth Day.
