A local court on Saturday issued arrest warrants of former PPP MNA Farahnaz Ispahani and Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Nadia Gabol in a criminal case against them over holding dual nationality. The local court heard the criminal case against the two leaders of PPP. During the course of hearing, Ispahani's counsel said that his client was out of the country for treatment hence she should be given exemption from personal appearance.
Prosecutor, Election Commission of Pakistan, Maimoona Advocate opposed the plea, saying that the former MNA was using delaying tactics. She told the court that Supreme Court had disqualified them in 2012 for holding dual nationality and submitting fake affidavits. After hearing arguments, the court issued arrest warrant of Nadia Gabol and Farahnaz Ispahani and directed them to appear before the court on September 01.
