The Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi (KU), Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan, has hailed Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's announcement for the establishment of a medical college and hospital at the university. The Prime Minister during his visit to the metropolis on Saturday had stated that the development projects committed by the federal government included construction of a medical and hospital at Karachi University.
Professor Dr Ajmal Khan, in a statement on Sunday, said, "I pay tributes to the Prime Minister and the Governor Sindh on behalf of KU faculty, students and staff members for this project." The Vice Chancellor pointed out that the University of Karachi is surrounded by a population of middle and lower middle class people and the closest good medical facilities are about 10 kilometers away. He lauded the personal interest and efforts of Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair, who is also the Chancellor, for this project as he played a pivotal role in securing this project.
