The president All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General Pervez Musharraf (retd) on Monday expelled senior party leader Ahmad Raza Kasuri, party's chief coordinator, from the party for violating party discipline. APML spokesman Shahzad Satti said that Kasuri was expelled from APML and his party membership has also been revoked as he wanted to create another group within the party along with some likeminded party workers, which is a clear violation of the party discipline.
"Kasuri's membership was suspended back in 2015 and he was restored after he offered an unconditional apology, but this time he betrayed the party by making a failed attempt to create another group within the party which is not acceptable," he added. According to Satti, in APML gathering at Faisalabad last week, Kasuri wanted seats for the people believed to be his supporters at the main stage reserved for the senior leadership of the party, and upon declining seating he misbehaved with the management. "This is for the second time he [Kasuri] has violated the party discipline and now his return to the party is quite difficult as betrayal with the party is not acceptable," he added.
