Crackdown against wheelie launched in Islamabad

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have taken action against 3,262 motorcyclists in a crackdown against one-wheeling, use of heavy silencers and racing on main roads from August 11 to August 14. A senior official of ITP said that during the drive, ITP Special Squad impounded 1,529 bikes involved in one wheeling and other violations. The ITP had set up special teams for ensuring protection of citizens and smooth flow of traffic on the Independence Day, besides personnel of ITP were deployed at different roads and public parks for the public convenience.
