The country's export of Jewellery declined by 26.33 percent to $5.884 million last fiscal year 2017, official figures say. Fall in the Jewelry export stands at $2.103 million last fiscal year from $7.987 million in fiscal year 2016, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows. Jewellery export slumped by 61.31 percent or $802,000 million to $506,000 in June 2017 from $1.308 million in June 2016.
Gems export scaled down to $2.998 million last fiscal year from $3.931 million in fiscal year 2016, lower by 24 percent or $0.933 million. In term of volume, gems export fell by 24 percent or one metric ton to six metric tons last fiscal year from seven metric tons in fiscal year 2016. In June 2017, gems export went down by 12 percent or $30,000 to $220,000 from $250,000 in June 2016.
