Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is going to commence three weekly flights from Karachi to Bangkok, Thailand from Sep 16, 2017. According to official details, this announcement was made at PIA head office on Friday after completing all formalities. The commencement of Karachi to Bangkok sector will increase the number of destinations on PIA's network to 50 including both international and domestic routes. The national flag carrier will operate A320 aircraft for direct flights between Karachi and Bangkok.
Secretary Aviation and Chairman PIA Irfan Elahi expressed his satisfaction on the finalization and commencement of flight operations to Bangkok. He said that with the induction of aircraft in fleet more destinations will be added to PIA's network. The passengers will now be able to travel directly to Bangkok with convenient timings and swift connections for the passengers travelling from other major cities of Pakistan. Needless to mention, Bangkok destination is the second addition to PIA network in the month of Sep as the airline had already announced commencement of flights to Najaf from Sep 14, 2017.
