As the monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of the country, a much needed good spell of rain over central Punjab on Friday dropped the maximum temperature between 27 degree Celsius and 31 degree giving much relief to the people hit by hot and humid weather for past one week. The Met Office said that rain-thunderstorm (with isolated heavy falls) accompanied by gusty winds occurred at scattered places in upper KP, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday. It recorded rainfall as under:
Punjab: Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 86, Chaklala 70), Islamabad (Bokra 85, Golra 50, Z.P 39, Saidpur 23), Sialkot (City 78, A/P 06), M.B Din 76, Mangla 39, Jhelum 37, Murree 25, Gujrat 22, Lahore( city21, A/P 05),Chakwal, Kasur 16, Gujranwala 13, Kamra 12, Mianwali 06, Kashmir: Rawalakot 38, Kotli 35, Muzffarabad 11, Garhi Dupatta 07,KP: Kakul 29, Risalpur 24, Dir 10, Balakot, Kohat 08, Peshawar, Cherat 06, Mirkhani 02, Kalam 01, GB: Bagrote 09, Hunza 06, Gupis, Gilgit 01.
Weather Forecast for today Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, DG khan divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
