Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that by-election in NA-120 will be a test case for voters and they have to decide what type of Pakistan they want in the future. He was addressing media after a meeting with the PTI senior leaders at Chairman Secretariat Lahore on Saturday to discuss NA-120 by-election strategy.
Talking to the voters in NA-120, he said, "If you vote for the N-League then it means you will be supporting those who have been thrown out by the Supreme Court in a corruption case." "The outcome of the by-election will show that whether the people are with the Supreme Court or a thief," he added.
He claimed that billions of rupees were looted and sent aboard which belonged to the people of Pakistan. He criticised Nawaz Sharif for using derogatory words against the Supreme Court during his address to the Lawyer convention on August 25. He averred that he wants a Pakistan where no one is above the law.
If influential people are above the law then why people in jails should accept the court's verdicts, he questioned. To a question regarding Ahsan Iqbal's claim that the Panama case had a huge financial implication for the country, he said, "Then Nawaz Sharif should have resigned when the allegation surfaced against him and the financial losses could have been avoided."
