The doctors of Red Crescent Institute of Cardiology and General Hospital Hyderabad strongly condemned the actions of a member of the executive committee of the hospital and demanded of the concerned authorities to take strict action against him. Addressing a Press conference here at Hyderabad Club on Monday, the Medical Superintendent Dr Fazalur Rehman Memon and others said that on August 26, a female named Zareena Chohan who was the patients of diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease was brought to emergency in a critical condition.
The underline condition of the patient was communicated to her attendants and relatives with a request to bring her old medical records and file so that patient can be treated accordingly. But the attendants got abusive and vehemently linked their relation to Zulfiqar Chohan, the executive member of the hospital, they informed. They said, later Zulfiqar Chohan entered the emergency and misbehaved with them by shouting at them using abusive and profane language. He also started beating and threatening the doctors on duty in front of paramedical staff, admitted patients and the attendants of the patients without acknowledging the sensitivity and condition of other critically ill patients.
