Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa on Tuesday underwent angioplasty at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after feeling pain in his chest and difficulty in breathing. A team of doctors headed by PIC Chief Executive Officer Professor Nadeem Hayat Malik conducted the angioplasty of Justice Khosa.
Justice Khosa had headed the Supreme Court five-judge bench that handed down the famous judgment in Panamagate case disqualifying former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Ijazul Ahsan of Supreme Court and Lahore High Court Acting Chief Justice Shahid Hameed Dar also visited the hospital and inquired after his health. The doctors at the PIC apprised the judges about the medical treatment provided to the senior judge.
