The outflow of foreign investors portfolio investment (FIPI) from Pakistan capital market continued due to concerns over a host of issues. During August 2017, foreign investors sold out equities worth $80.463 million and withdrew their investment from Pakistan Stock Exchange as compared to $27.753 million withdrawn in the corresponding month in 2016.
According to current data of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCL), foreign investors withdrew $450.307 million during current calendar year from January 1, 2017 to August 31, 2017. The offshore investors withdrew $45.982 million during the first eight months of 2016.
