Voting on the tabled no-confidence against tehsil Swabi nazim and naib-nazim would take place on Wednesday. While, Jamat-i-Islami leaders who had revolted against its own nazim said that it would be last days of the government and they were poised to form new Tehsil government comfortably.
The high drama continued as Tehsil Nazim Wahid Shah on Monday had registered an FIR against Tehsil assembly two members, Iqbal Zada and Jamshed Khan, alleging that they opened fire on him and his nephew when they were on their way home from their maize field in Maneri village.
As result, his nephew Atif Nawaz was injured but he survived the attack and his official vehicle was hit by four gunshots. The two members on Tuesday had managed a bail before arrest from additional session judge court and completed all the preparations for the no-confidence voting. They would appear in the court on Sept 16 for confirmation of their bail.
Insiders in the political parties said that the situation was already perturbed and it was further perturbed by latest allegations and incident of firing. Both the opposition and treasury benches said that they were ready for today. The JI leaders said that the people would see that how Wahid Shah and Gohar Khan nazim pick up their luggage.
"The nazim and naib-nazim would be uprooted," said Mehmoodul Hassan, JI district chief. However, naib-nazim Gohar Khan said that they were confident that the no confidence motion would be failed. "We have made our preparations and requirements have been completed. Let's wait and see that what would happen. Everybody would come to know," he said.
The party position in the Tehsil council is that JI 10 members, including Nazim Wahid Shah, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf 6, Awami National Party 3, and Pakistan People's Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal each one in the 22 members house.
The JI, PTI, PML-N and PPP have joined hands to dislodge the nazim and naib-nazim. They said that the motion was moved because the nazim and naib-nazim had failed to equally distribute the development funds. Meanwhile Iqbal and Jamshed have demanded judicial enquiring of the Monday incident to reach the bottom line that what was the reality. Despite the various attempts, phone of the Wahid was coming off continuously.
