The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail granted to provincial law minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar in the case pertaining to alleged corruption made by him. A two-judge bench, led by Chief Justice Sadiq Hussain Bhatti, was hearing Lanjar's plea requesting the court to restrain NAB from harassing in respect to an inquiry.
During the proceedings, the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) counsel requested the court to direct the provincial law Minster to provide details of his income he got through advocacy. The NAB special prosecutor added that his assets had been increased considerably after 2008. Farooq H Naek, who was representing Lanjar, said that all the relevant documents have already been provided to NAB. We do not know what more NAB wanted, he wondered.
