A seminar was held at Conference Room of Commissioner Office in connection with the International Literacy Day. Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha was the chief guest while the people belonging to different walks of life participated in the seminar. Addressing the seminar the Divisional Commissioner said that a vigorous movement would be launched on social level for the promotion of literacy in order to remove the obstacles confronted in elimination of ignorance and illiteracy from the society.
He said that Punjab government was following a number of polices to impart the new generation with light of education and every person of the society should participate in the war against illiteracy. He said that society should come forward for the support of the parents having financial constraints and poor out of school children should be adopted by the well off persons.
