KP Junior Age Group Squash enters into semis stage

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Age Group Defence Day Squash Championship at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex entered into the semi-finals stages with all top seed in four different age group categories secured victories against their respective rivals on Sunday. In the Under-11 category top seed Humam Ahmad, second seed Abdullah Nawaz, Mobin Khan and Saki Ullah moved to the semi-final after securing victories against their respective rivals in the quarter-finals. Humam Ahmad of PAF defeated Azan Khan in straight sets, the score was 11-4, 1-6 and 11-4. Humam Ahmad fully dominated the proceedings and did not give much chance to Azan Khan to strike back.
In the other matches Mobine Khan overpowered Saif Ullah Khan by 3-1, the score was 10-12, 11-8, 11-6 and 11-9, Abdullah Nawaz also played well and recorded victory against his strong rival Shayan Khan in straight sets, the score was 12-10, 11-9 and 12-10. Both Abdullah and Shayan Khan played well against each other. In the last quarter-final Saki Ullah beat Muhammad Hanif by 3-1, the score was 12-10, 8-11, 11-6 and 11-9. In the Under-13 category top seed Sheraz Akbar defeated Muhammad Shalan by 3-0, the score was 11-9, 11-9 and 11-8, Rahim Abbas recorded victory against Faizan Asad by 3-0, the score was 11-9, 11-7 and 11-8, Muhammad Abbas shocked Nawab Shah by 3-0, the score was 11-9, 11-7 and 11-9 and Yasin Khattak beat Majid Ahmad by 3-0, the score was 11-9, 11-8 and 11-7.
In the Under-15 category top seed and promising Noor Zaman upset Waleed Khalil in a thrilling encounter witnessed by a good number of spectators. The two Noor Zaman and Waleed Khalik gave each other a tough fight and some good nick, drops and forceful smashes were also witnessed. Noor won the first set by 12-10 and did the same in the second at 12-10 while it was easy sailing for him in the third set at 11-9. Noor Zaman after victory moved to the semi-final. In the other matches Khushal Riaz beat Fawad Hussain by 3-0, the score was 11-9, 11-7 and 11-9, Hammad Khan beat Nouman Khan by 3-1, the score was 11-9, 10-12, 11-6 and 11-9 while Ali Sher beat Bilal Ahmad by 3-0, the score was 11-7, 11-8 and 11-9.
In the Under-17 category Zargham Khan upset Abdullah Haseeb by 3-1, the score was 11-9, 7-11, 11-7 and 11-7. In the other matches second seed Rashid Daulat beat jawad Ahmad by 3-0, the score was 11-9, 11-7 and 11-8, Ahmad Hussain beat Aman Ullah by 3-1, the score was 11-8, 12-10, 5-11 and 11-9 and Faizan Fayyaz beat Waqas Akbar by 3-0, the score was 11-6, 11-8 and 11-9.
