The new trend has been set with revolutionary steps in education sector by encouraging young and talented students and introducing reforms to provide ample opportunities of education equally for all. This was stated by Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development, Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt, while addressing the ceremony of result declaration of Intermediate Annual Examination 2017 arranged by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Faisalabad at its office auditorium.
Advisor to CM Punjab Rai Haider Ali Kharal, Ex-MPA Khawaja Islam, Chairman Board Mahr Ghulam Muhammad Jhaggar, Controller Examination Dr Zafar Iqbal, Secretary Khurram Shehzad Qureshi, heads of private and public educational institutions, parents, teachers and students attended the ceremony.
The Minister congratulated the top ranking students, their parents and teachers and said that the talented students were the assets and future of nation was in their hands. He said that CM Punjab had introduced a culture of presenting guard of honour to the top ranking students of education boards and universities which was not only historic step but also great acknowledgement of talent. He highlighted the various steps taken by the Punjab government to uplift education sector and said that the benefits of the government measures could be seen in the shape of excellent results of the examinations. He said that talented and deserving students would not be deprived of education due to financial constraints; therefore CM Punjab had established Punjab Education Endowment Fund with billions of rupees and educational scholarships were being provided to the talented deserving students on merit basis at a large scale.
The Minister lauded the introduction of modern reforms in administration and examination affairs by Board of Education and said that it was great example of good governance under the vision of CM Punjab. He advised the students to work hard to achieve top positions in the future examinations and come forward to serve the nation with total commitment.
Advisor to CM Punjab, Rai Haider Ali Kharal and EX MPA Khawaja Islam also spoke on the occasion and greeted the top ranking students and their parents. They mentioned the steps of Punjab government in the promotion of education.
In the welcome address, Chairman BISE, Mahr Ghulam Muhammad Jhaggar thanked guests for participating in the result declaration ceremony and informed that advanced software had been introduced by the BISE for compiling the examination results in most transparent manner possible which was being replicated by the other education boards of the country.
Controller Examination announced the results and informed that 84569 candidates appeared in the Annual Intermediate Examination out of which 55810 students were declared successful and the success ratio is 66.08. He announced that the overall top position on Board level is bagged by Abdul Basit of Chenab College Jhang who secured 1054 marks.
