Without naming the PTI Chief Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz Tuesday said people in the KPK are dyeing due to dengue but he (Imran) is attending marriage ceremonies in London. While addressing the minorities' wing workers convention in NA-120 here today, Maryam said the enthusiasm shown by the people during the Islamabad-Lahore rally and election campaign of NA-120 reflects "people love for Nawaz Sharif, who worked hard for the people to overcome load shedding of gas and power and restore law & order; resulting cricket stadium is full of crowd today."
Maryam said the Christian community has lent huge support to her father and the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N). "My Christian brothers and sisters are as zealous in their support as other Pakistanis," she said. Maryam told the cheering participants, "Your leader [Nawaz Sharif] believes you are Pakistanis, and not a minority," she said, insisting that her father does not believe in the concept of minorities.
Maryam who is campaigning in the NA-120 constituency on behalf of her mother and PML-N's candidate Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, said she is happy to see the enthusiasm of her 'Christian brothers and sisters' in the support that they've lent to the party.
She said Nawaz Sharif is waging a just struggle for the rights of the people and sanctity of votes. She was confident that the people of NA-120 would vote the PML-N on September 17 for paving the way for real change in the country. She said Nawaz Sharif would also emerge victorious in 2018 general elections.
