NA-120 by-poll: PPP to hold public meeting without Bilawal, Zardari

The PPP will hold a public meeting in NA-120 on September 14, said party sources. The PPP Punjab leadership will address the meeting where a large number of party workers from all across the city are likely to participate, they added. However, the party sources clarified that Bilawal would not address the meeting. Earlier, co-chairman PPP Asif Zardari had announced to visit the constituency along with Bilawal to boost the confidence of party workers. But he was advised to avoid any such adventure as the party's position is very weak in the constituency.
Rumours were also high that both Bilawal and Zardari would return to the city after Eid and spend busy weeks ahead of by-polls in NA 120; however, no such development has taken place so far. Meanwhile, PPP Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira has appreciated resumption of international cricket in Pakistan. "I wish to witness such activities without security arrangements and blocking of roads," he added. He also welcomed the World XI to Pakistan and wished them a successful tour.
