141 food outlets raided by PFA teams

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) did a surprise checking of 141 food points at the Lahore Railways Station and other bus stands in the provincial metropolis and sealed two food points while imposed fine on 21 others. According to details, the PFA field team checked canteen at the terminal of Faisal Movers and brought its shutters down because of improper cleanliness and expired items. The team also found cockroaches and other insects in the production area of the canteen. The team also sealed famous 'Makkhan Hotel' at Rahber Travels terminal. The hotel was storing eatables in blue drums used for chemicals and cleanliness was also substandard.
