Colonel Rustum Ali Chattah of Garrison Golf Club (GGC) lifted Interloop Cup during 3rd All Pakistan Interloop Open Golf Cup Championship-2017 concluded in the lush green 9 holes course of Lyallpur Golf Club (LGC).
Addressing the Prize Distribution Ceremony of this championship, Mr. Momin Agha Commissioner Faisalabad Division underlined the importance of sports and said that 3rd All Pakistan Interloop Open Golf Cup Championship-2017 is a milestone in the promotion of healthy sports activities in the country. He hoped that the private sector will continue to sponsor such healthy events and will also share its dividend in the form of healthy, dynamic and productive workforce. He said that the sports play an active role in character building of young generation. "It also creates tolerance, patience and sense of competition and this is the reason that government is taking necessary steps to promote sports at all levels. He said that role of private sector in this sector is highly appreciable and government fully acknowledges their contribution and services. He also thanked Mr. Musadiq Zulqarnain Chairman Interloop for continuously sponsoring the third All Pakistan Interloop Open Golf Cup Championship-2017.
Dr Khalid Mehmood President Lyallpur Golf Club, Mr. Jahanzaib Khan and Mr. Zain Zulqarnain Directors Interloop also addressed the function and assured that Interlope is fully cognizant of its Social Corporate Responsibilities and will continue to organize such events in future. He told that Interloop is not only sponsoring the game of Golf but it was also contributing its role for the promotion of other popular games in Pakistan. "Our Ultimate Objective is to inspire youth to come out from their houses and harness their sports skills", they said added that it will provide them an opportunity to earn fame and bring laurels to their country by participating in international events.
Commissioner Momin Agha distributed Prize among the winners Golfers belonging to Professionals and Amateur categories. He also presented shields of Lyallpur Golf Club to Mr. Jahanzaib Khan and Mr. Zain Zulqarnain in recognition of their contribution for the promotion of healthy sports activities.
Meanwhile, in Amateur category colonel Rustum of Garrison Golf Club got first position while Major Ziaudin of Peshawar Golf Club and Mr. Moin Mehmood of Lyallpur Golf Club stood second and third respectively in this category.
Similarly in third gross Mr. Robin Bagh of Gymkhana Golf Club, Mr. Waqas Khan of Gujranwala Golf Club and Mr. Usama Warriach of Lyallpur Golf Club grabbed first, second and third position respectively.
In professional category Mr. Shabir Iqbal of Islamabad Golf Club got purse money of Rs 145,000 while Muhammad Munir of Islamabad Golf Club and Mr. Khalid Khan of Peshawar Golf Club got purse money of Rs 80,000 each. Similarly Mr. Ansar Mehmood of Multan Garrison Club, Muhammad Safdar Khan of Gujranwala and Mr. Amjad Yousaf of Karachi Golf Club got cash prize of Rs 44,000 each.
The prize for maximum Birdies was won by Mr. Waqas Khan of Gujranwala Golf Club. Similarly Muhammad Aslam got prize of appreciation for maintaining the course while special prize was presented to Mr. Umar Ehsan.
