LAHORE: The Indian government on Friday released five Pakistani prisoners.
Indian authorities handed over the prisoners to the Pakistan Rangers on the Wahga boarder near here, Rangers sources said. The prisoners were arrested on border crossing mistakenly.
Edhi Foundation Lahore provided them food, cold drinks, juices and biscuits on the Wahga border.
Later, Pak Rangers handed four of them over to Edhi Foundation Lahore which shifted them in Edhi Home Gulberg. They are Muhammad Iqbal (50) s/o Abdul Wani of Faisalabad, Muhammad Juman (50) s/o Haji Mohsin of Karachi, Noor Alam (51) s/o Jalaluddin, Tharparkar (Sindh) and Ramesh (22) s/o Dev G from Sangar (Sindh).
