Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has exhorted the Baloch leaders staying outside Pakistan to return to the country and fight for their rights employing political and democratic means. According to media cell of Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore he was speaking at JI provincial office at Quetta during his two day visit there, he said there was India's hand behind the anti-Pakistan and pro independent Balochistan posters and banners and publicity campaign in Switzerland.
He welcomed the decision of the Pashto Academy in Quetta to hold international Pashto conference in the provincial capital and the Pashto cultural Day on September 23. The JI central leader called upon the federal government to appoint an independent enquiry commission to probe the appointments made in Balochistan on the basis of fake domiciles and also implement the provincial quota in employments in the federal ministries and autonomous bodies so as to provide jobs to the youth from Balochistan.
He said that the JI would stage a sit-in in front of the NAB office in Islamabad in October in connection with its Corruption Free Pakistan drive and stressed the need for across the board accountability. Liaqat Baloch deplored that the attitude of ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the NAB cases was similar to that of Pervez Musharraf and MQM founder Altaf Husain. He further said that the infighting in the PML-N was at its peak.
He however urged the government to ensure the rule of law and the supremacy of the constitution to restore the country's image as a respectable nation. Appreciating the show of solidarity with the Rohingya Muslims during the day, Liaqat Baloch welcomed the support announced by Turkey and Saudi Arabia for the Muslims of Myanmar.
