Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said on Saturday that Qaumi Watan Party will leave no stone unturned for the rights of Pakhtuns and it would utilize its energy for the peace and stability in the region.
He was addressing NA-4 party office bearers and workers meeting here at Watan Kor Peshawar wherein a QWP ex-senator Haji Ghufran, provincial general secretary Hashim Babar, provincial information secretary Tariq Ahmad Khan, secretary political training Asad Afridi, QWP district Peshawar chairman Haji Muhammad Shafi Daud Zai, General Secretary Saif Ullah Khan and three district elected members were also present on this occasion.
Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that Pakhtuns rendered sacrifices for the cause of Pakistan for which they still haven't been rewarded and they are waiting for their due rights. He said that the aim of Qaumi Watan Party is to struggle for the rights of Pakhtuns whether the party is in power or opposition. He added that the only objective of the QWP was welfare of Pakhtuns and it would strive for that cause.
In the meeting it was decided to empower the Chairman Afab Ahmad Khan Sherpao to take any decision regarding the by-election of NA-04 Peshawar. During the meeting it was told that other political parties leaders were approaching QWP for the support but they were told that any decision in this regard would be made after consultation with the party organization of NA-04 Peshawar and the party chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao had been vested with consultation to make any decision about by election in NA-04.
He impressed upon the leadership and workers to strengthen bonds with the masses and revitalize activates and spread among the masses to address the problems of Pukhtuns, and peace and stability in the region. The meeting reviewed the current political situation, organizational matters and chalked out strategies for future course of action. The meeting reposed full confidence in the leadership of Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao. It endorsed the policies of Aftab Sherpao and hailed his role for Pukhtuns and party.
Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that QWP was the staunch supporter of democracy and it longed for the completion of the constitutional tenure of the parliament. He contended that the strengthening of the democratic institutions would be instrumental in political stability and financial prosperity.
