A Pak-China joint air exercise titled 'Shaheen-VI' successfully concluded at China's Korla air base on Wednesday. Contingents from both sides participated with modern fighter jets and support elements in the Shaheen-VI exercise, which continued for three weeks, a press release issued by Pakistan Air Force stated.
During the exercise, Air Vice Marshal Haseeb Paracha flew a mission in a J-11 fighter aircraft belonging to China's People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). A PAF delegation witnessed the exercise on the last day and participated in the closing ceremony along with high-ranking Chinese officials. Vice Air Marshal Paracha, Air Officer Commanding and Southern Air Command, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. From the PLAAF, Lieutenant General Zhan Shunhou, Air Commander of Western Theater Command, was also present on the occasion.
