The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday was informed by police that all suspects allegedly involved in murdering Tania Khaskehli, a 19-year old girl who was gunned down inside her home in Jhangara Town near Sehwan, were arrested. Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh was hearing a suo motu case regarding the brutal murder of Tania, who was allegedly gunned down by Jhangara Town's Wadera (feudal lord) Khan Noohani earlier this month as she and her family turned down his marriage proposal.
The DIG Hyderabad and SP Jamshoro appeared before the court and submitted that all accused including the prime suspect, Noohani, had been nabbed by the police. The court was also informed that Tania's family was shifted to Karachi and they are being provided police security.
In the last hearing the SHC had directed the Inspector General of Police to change the investigation officer of the case and assign a senior, honest and reputable officer to interrogate the murder of a girl. The provincial police chief was also directed to supervise the investigation himself.
Taking notice of life threats to Tania's family, the court had directed DIG Hyderabad and SP Jamshoro to personally ensure that no harm is caused Tania's family including school going daughter. In case any harm or injury is caused to Tania's family members, the DIG and SP shall be held personally responsible, the CJ had maintained in his order.
