KP Inspector General of Police (IGP), Salahuddin Khan Mehsood on Friday visited Police Command Post in Kohati gate Peshawar to review security arrangements for peaceful observance of Muharram. The IGP went round different sections of the post and inspected and reviewed in detail the security steps taken for peaceful observance of Muharram.
Chief Capital City Police Peshawar Muhammad Tahir Khan briefed the IGP about the security arrangements and live monitoring of the mourn processions through CCTV installed in the post. The IGP expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the police and issued more necessary instructions to the police high ups present on this occasion.
Talking to media on the occasion, the IGP pointed out that best coordination exist amongst Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Pak Army, Frontier Corps, Frontier Constabulary, civil administration and Intelligence Agencies and joint search and strike operations are being carried out on intelligence based information of which better results are coming.
