Youm-e-Ashur: security arrangements finalised in Faisalabad

Youm-e-Ashur would be observed with religious reverence throughout the district. The district administration and police had made elaborate security and administrative arrangements for the observance of Youm-e-Ashur in a peaceful manner. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani and CPO Athar Ismail Amjid visited the Muharram processions roots and checked the security and administrative arrangements.
They went to main Imambargah Dhobi Ghat, Peoples Colony, Satiana road and other areas of the city and interacted with the organizers of Muharram processions and majalis. They inquired about the security measures and asked them to keep their volunteers security guards on high alerts and no one should be allowed to participate in the processions without proper search. They directed the security staff to perform their duties attentively and keep vigil eye on suspects.
They said that the security staff on the rooftops of the buildings on the roots of Muharram processions should remain vigilant and alert at all time besides following the four tiers security arrangements.
Later, Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani and CPO Athar Ismail Amjid visited Jaranwala City along with State Minister for Interior Talal Badar Ch. Advisor to CM Punjab Rai Haider Ali, Chairman Municipal Committee Jaranwala Rai Mustafa Babar, Vice Chairman Sh. Habibur Rehman, Aftab Akbar Ch and other local bodies representative were also present on the occasion. They checked the root of main processions of Ashura and called on management of main Imambargah Qasr-e-Batool.
State Minister for Interior Talal Badar Ch. said that Jaranwala was citadel of peace and there was complete religious harmony among the all sects. He said that security arrangements would strictly be adhered for the protection of Muharram jaloos and majalis, however, the citizen should extend cooperation to make the Muharram arrangements a success.
Earlier, a briefing session was also held at Municipal Committee Office, AC Jaranwala Shehryar Arif and SP Najibullah gave briefing about the Muharram arrangements in the tehsil. They also informed the details of the root of main procession of Muharram and said that all out resources had been mobilized to keep law & order situation intact in the tehsil.
Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani and CPO Athar Ismail Amjid issued some directions for tightening the security arrangements. They directed for keeping close liaison with elected representative and peace committees for the success of Muharram arrangements.
