Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) in collaboration with police on Monday arrested seven power pilferers in different areas of City-2 Mardan and Toru sub divisions and registered FIRs against them. The PESCO teams and Police jointly checked various houses in premises of City-2 Mardan and Turo sub divisions and nabbed seven persons red handed for using direct connections.
According to a PESCO spokesman, FIRs have been lodged against accused Yousaf S/o Spin GulMahabatabad, Abdul Wahab s/o Kamal Rashakai, Israr s/o Shuab Rashakia, Zakir s/o Mir Badshah Mayar, Gulzar s/o Inzar Gul Mayar and Zanoon Khan s/o Rasool Shah.
Chief Executive Pesco Shabir Ahmed has directed all the field formations to speed up drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks. He warned elements to stop power pilferage immediately, otherwise strict action would be taken against them.
